3 P’s to Make Mother’s Day Special

2 min read

Guess what, guys? Mother’s Day is right around the corner again.  Every year it seems to sneak up on us and we get caught unprepared.  Well, not this year.  This year, take a proactive approach to this special day and make it memorable for the moms in your life.  Guys, let’s face it.  Lots of times we try to do things at the last minute for holidays and special events.  But with women, you really have to think things through first.  Her schedule fills up weeks in advance with appointments and errands, so it can be hard to “sweep her away” for an impromptu celebration.  So show her you understand her busy life and you want to give her the thing she wants most—peace!  Make this year’s celebration the best ever by thinking ahead and practicing the 3 P’s to Make Mother’s Day Special.

Proclamation:

Set aside a special time to present your mother/wife with a special proclamation of appreciation. This can be in any form. (for specific ideas or to download a certificate of appreciation for moms, visit iMOM.com)

Pass:

Give Mom a special pass—whether for a few hours or a full day.  Moms work hard and need some time to regroup and refresh.

Plan it out:

The most important thing you can do for your wife/mother of your children is to plan this out and let them know your plan. Moms spend a great deal of time keeping our families on track and they need to know:

  • We care enough to plan this ahead of time—not that usual last minute rush.
  • We really mean it when we give them a Day Pass and want to set it up for them at a time that is good for them, not just spring it on them as an unwelcome surprise.
  • We want to give them something to look forward to on their special day.

Whether you take them to lunch or make them lunch, buy some flowers or make a paper bouquet, remember the 3 P’s for a peace-filled Mother’s Day this year.
