10 Texts to Send Your Wife in the Next 10 Days

text my wife

A few months ago, I posted 10 texts to send to your kids or grand kids in the next 10 days. The response was incredibly positive. Thousands of you shared the post and commented with other great suggestions. Texting (unless you’re driving, of course) can be a great way to send a much needed note to someone you love.

I like to take the time to text my wife and encourage her. Today, I’d like to encourage husbands to take the challenge. Here are 10 texts to send your wife in the next 10 days:

1. Of all the guys in all the world, I’m honored to be the one who gets to do life with you.

2. Today’s been a rough day, but thinking of you makes it all worth it.

3. You’re my best reason to go to bed at night and my best reason to get up in the morning. Can’t wait to see you later today!

4. No matter how you feel about yourself today, remember this: There’s at least one person on this Earth who knows how awesome you are – me!

5. What can I do to make your day or night easier? Give me some tips…I want to help.

6. I may not always understand you, but I’m trying because I love you. Thanks for being patient with me.

7. I admire your ability to _____________. That is so important to our family. Just wanted you to know that.

8. Remember when we started this life together? Even if we knew then what we know now…I’d do it all over again.

9. If I could drop what I’m doing right now to be with you, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Love you!

10. I just wanted to hit the pause button at work today to let you know how grateful I am to be your husband.

You’re a great, loving mommy and wife.

  • Great one, DP.

  • DP

Thank you, MM. And for the awesome service you’re providing to support all of us.

Got this response. “I dunno what you copied that from but it came thru with extra funky characters.”
So if you’re going to use these, might be best to type them out manually.

  • DP, my pleasure.

I salute you Mr Merrill. I am one of those guys who struggles with expressing appreciation in many words, especially to my wife. what buffles me all the time is I am a musician and I thought something like saying nicey nice to my wife would be easy.
Your tips give me a template to work from! Thank you!

From a woman/wife/mother of 4’s point of view; if you guys would just wrap your arms around us out of the blue for no reason when you see we are stressed and give us a kiss, and tell us how much you love us and how much we are appreciated or just thank us for what we do …..it goes a long way…we don’t need a lot of fancy words, flowers, chocolates, dinners or stuff, time well spent from the heart is what we are all after filled with love and appreciation, and thanks! …..good luck fella’s (but those text messages are a nice pick me up when you can’t be there in person in the midst of the daily grind! )

  • Encouraging to hear Teboho.

  • Thanks so much for sharing Amy! It’s much appreciated!

  • Wendy Wilson

Agreed. I am also stay at home mommy of 4 I long for my husband to just give me a hug out of the blue. He works over night and we don’t get to see each other much I hug would go a LONG way.

  • Jillian Livingston

Nice encouragement Mark! Last night my husband came home after biking 80 miles and climbing 8,000 feet and said, “I thought about you when thinking of quitting and you kept me going.” That will stay with me forever!

  • I like these, Mark!

  • Thank you, Nicholas!

  • You’re welcome, Mark!

My wife hates being touched if she’s stressed out or angry. She wants sweet words and to be pampered so this advice is not universal. I’m not the best with my words so these messages are a huge help and made me think of more unique things to say in person and throughout the day!

  • Samson Hays

Chris judge hit the hit the nail on the head that advice will not work for everyone it’s not universal. I go through The same thing. I don’t dare try to give my wife a hug and a kiss when she is stressed out She needs words of affirmation. I just sent one of these text messages and I got a reply movie and champagne tonight just because someone else wrote it doesn’t mean that’s how I feel sometimes just need to be put in perspective for us we feel it not sure how to say it…

Thanks for sharing Mark! Even if I don’t use them verbatim, I’m already thinking about what my next 10 texts to my wife are going to be. You accomplished your goal of encouraging us husbands to simply “think” and be “intentional” in how we choose to sow into the life of our wife. #HappyWifeHappyLIFE
