What is one of the greatest inventions of all-time? Got the answer? Well, it might be sticky notes. These handy little inventions can be used not only in the office, but also in the home, and in very productive ways.
I use sticky notes to encourage my wife, Susan, and our children. Here are some ways that I use them to let my family know that I am thinking about them and that I love them.
Bathroom Mirrors
I’ll leave notes of encouragement on bathroom mirrors so that when my kids or wife are getting ready for the day ahead, they’ll start off knowing that I am thinking about them. Whether it is a timely Bible verse or a simple, “I love you,” it’s an easy and positive way to encourage them.
Backpacks and Lunch Boxes
A sticky note goes great in a bookbag or lunchbox. That bright yellow note sticks out and can be words of encouragement to my kids like, “I hope your test goes well.” Or, “I’m so thankful you’re my daughter!”
Kitchen Counter
Finding a note on the kitchen counter can be uplifting. Words like, “Hope you have an awesome day” or “Can’t wait to see you tonight” can make our spouses spirits soar.
Cars
I like leaving notes on the steering wheel so they can’t be missed. “Excited about our date night tonight” or “You are an awesome wife” will put a smile on her face.
There are tons of other ways you can use the versatile sticky note in and around your house to encourage and uplift your family. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
