What Do Dads Really Want for Father’s Day?

< 1 min read

What most dads really want for Father’s Day is to be their child’s hero…to know that his kids look up to him…admire and respect him.  So, how can kids, and even adult children, show that to dad?  Well, here are a few ideas.

  • Grab the camcorder, iPhone or anything with video capabilities and video yourself talking about why you love your dad. Then play it for him on Father’s Day.
  • Write a handwritten note to your dad telling him that you love him for the man he is and what you admire about him.
  • Prepare a special dinner for him and go around the table and let everyone talk about how they love dad.
  • Write notes on what you love about your dad and put them in a jar. Do as many notes as the number of years that he has been a father. Then, starting Father’s Day, he can pick a note out of the jar each day and read it.
