“Dad, you need to thank the guy in the military.” That’s what my son, Grant, said to me in the Charlotte airport at midnight last night as we saw a man in fatigues. So we walked up to him and Grant and I thanked him and expressed our gratitude to him for serving our country. He then pulled the flag patch (see picture) off his shoulder and gave it to Grant. Grant said, “I will always keep this forever.”
We can learn a lot from our children, can’t we?
