As a parent, we all share a universal desire that our children grow up to be successful, contributing members of society. We hope and pray for our kids to do better, to be better and to experience better than we did, no matter our circumstances. For the Chandler family of Prairie, Mississippi, life started out hard in the share cropped cotton fields. But for the nine Chandler children, hardship led to lives of astonishing success, thanks to the hopes, prayers and efforts of their parents.
