When I was growing up, our friends came to our home all the time. My parents always welcomed my friends and my brothers’ friends. And there was always a lot of food and fun. But, more and more, I’m seeing families keeping to themselves. More people are guarded and internally focused. Perhaps the time has come for more hospitality at home.
We should always honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our families and freedom. Jill Boardman, a recently retired member of the Family First team, served as an Army Intelligence Officer from 1980-2000 and continued to serve the military as a government civilian for 13 more years. I thought it was only fitting for a Veteran to share with us how we can honor those Veterans who gave their lives for us
Are you content or dissatisfied? Content or anxious? Content or unfulfilled? Ads, movies and social media preach daily that we don’t quite have enough, we deserve more, or there’s something better out there. Let’s face it: Contentment is elusive for many.
